Rahn students rehearse "The Elements" on Jan. 25.
In recognition of its first year as Rahn Elementary Magnet School for Art and Technology, the school is going all out for its annual music and dance performance.

Entitled “The Elements,” the production will feature the four fifth and sixth grade classes as Earth, Air, Fire and Water will be presented to the public at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, in the Mraz Center at Burnsville High School, 600 E. Highway 13.

“Our school community is very proud of this annual event which is always an impressive performance,” said Principal Elaine Mehdizadeh, “and it just keeps getting better every year.”

Cindy Hart, the school’s phy ed specialist, and Rachel Lucius, music specialist, work with students on the production which is based on curriculum objectives and outcomes.

New this year will be an art show taking place in the corridor outside the Mraz from 6 to 7 p.m. Artwork donated by local artists will be featured in a silent auction which will raise funds for an artist in residence.
