'Interim' tag removed, Mr. Robb will just be 'Principal'

At their April 4 meeting, members of the District 191 Board of Education approved a recommendation to remove the "interim" tag from Brad Robb's title at Vista View Elementary. Robb will officially be principal as of July 1, 2013.

A former social studies teacher and professional development coordinator for District 191, Robb was named interim principal at Vista View before the 2012-13 school year.

"I am honored to be given the opportunity to continue to serve the community of Vista View Elementary and ISD 191 and I am blessed to work with a tremendous staff," said Robb. "This has been a great year and I look forward to many more years at Vista View as we work together focused on the academic success of our students."

Partnership with wildlife refuge
leads to hands-on biology lessons

You can read a book to learn about birds and wildflowers and how their adaptations help them survive the Minnesota climate. But that's not how biologists do it, and that's not how students at Vista View Elementary are doing it, either.

Thanks to a partnership with the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge, Vista View students at all grade levels are getting a chance to learn about the world around them by looking with their own eyes and touching with their own hands.
